4 men and 6 women together can finish a piece of work in 5 days. 3 men and 4 women

together can finish it in 7 days. Find the time taken by 1 man alone to finish the work

and that of 1 woman alone .pls tell full answer and wright answer pls pls...☺️☺️

m=men            w=women

in first case=4m+6w=1/5.......(i)
                    3m+4w=1/7........(ii)

4m+6w=1/5

2(2m+3w)=1/5

2m+3w=1/10.......(iii)

subtract (i) from (ii)

3m+4w-4m-6w=1/7-1/5

-m-2w=5/35-7/35

m+2w=2/35........(iv)

subtract (iv) from (iii)

2m+3w-3-2w=1/10-2/35

m+w=7/70-4/70

m+w=3/70

m=3/70-w


substitute in equa. (iv)

3/70-w+2w=2/35

3/70+w=2/35

w=4/70-3/70

w=1/70

m+2(1/70)=2/35

m=4/70-2/70

m=1/35


therefore a women completes a work in 70 days....while a man alone completes it in 35 days
