sp = 750

let cp = x

loss = 10% of X

= 0.1x

In case of loss,

sp = cp - loss

750 = X - 0.1x

750 = 0.9x

x = 750/0.9

for 5% gain we need to calculate how much is 5% of cp

gain = (5×750/0.9)/100

selling price for 5% gain = cp + gain

= 750/0.9 + [(5×750/0.9)/100]

= 833.3333333 + 41.6666667

=875
