1. Material sources
Various objects , monuments, palaces, coins, sculptures etc can be included in the material sources.
Some of the monuments are declared as national monument whereas some of them are converted into museums. For eg. Cellular jail in Andaman. And the museum in Pune that is Aga Khan Palace in that museum we can see different objects, documents giving information about the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
2. Written sources
The sources of history that are in the written form are known as written sources of history. It includes book, Periodicals, Correspondence, Autobiographies, Biographies, Newspapers,Maps and drawing etc.
3. Oral sources
The sources that can be narrated generation to generation are called oral sources of history. It includes powada, Inspirational songs, Ovees, Bharuds, Myths , Folk songs,Folk tales etc.
