Zero of the polynomial x - 1 is 1

So,

p(x) = 3 {x}^{4} - 4 {x}^{3} - 3x - 1p(x)=3x

4

−4x

3

−3x−1

\begin{gathered}p(1) = 3 {(1)}^{4} - 4 {(1)}^{3} - 3(1) - 1 \\ = 3 - 4 - 3 - 1 \\ = - 5\end{gathered}

p(1)=3(1)

4

−4(1)

3

−3(1)−1

=3−4−3−1

=−5
