GIVEN :

Perimeter of a Square and Rectangle is same.

Side of the square = 15cm

One of the dimension of Rectangle = 18cm

Let other dimension be x

Perimeter of the Rectangle = ?

Perimeter of Square :

= 4 × S

= 4 × 15

= 60cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 [length+breadth] = 60 [ As perimeter of square and Rectangle is same ]

2 [ 18 + x ] = 60

2[18 + x] = 60

[18 + x] = 60/2

x = 30 - 18

x = 12

So, we have two dimensions of Rectangle.

Then,

Area of Rectangle :

= [ Length × Breadth ]

= [ 18 × 12 ]

= 216 cm²

Therefore, the area of Rectangle is 216cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

Let one dimension of rectangle be x

perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square

perimeter of square =4*side

=4*15

=60cm

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

=2(18+b)

60=36+2b

60-36=2b

24 =2b

b=12cm

area of rectangle = 18*12

= 216 sq.cm
