We have to find position and nature of the image.

First of all we need to find focal length of lens afrer that, we will calculate position of image by using lens formula.

Focal length of lens :

:\implies\tt\:5=\dfrac{1}{f}

:\implies\bf\:f=0.2\:m=20\:cm

Position of image :

:\implies\tt\:\dfrac{1}{v}-\dfrac{1}{u}=\dfrac{1}{f}

:\implies\tt\:\dfrac{1}{v}-\dfrac{1}{(-40)}=\dfrac{1}{20}

:\implies\tt\:\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{1}{20}-\dfrac{1}{40}

:\implies\tt\:\dfrac{1}{v}=\dfrac{2-1}{40}
