HEYA HERE'S UR ANSWER.....

Our country is India, and we are Indians.
Mainly Indians are workers. The uniform of workers is khadi. Many workers in India wear Khadi.for example auto drivers bus drivers police, coolies and so on. the people in India always depend on what cause for every small and big work.even though we wear suits for business and money works we are related related to Khadi.from morning to up tonight will sleep we use their work many times.what we drink water and what we eat food is brought to our home from shops by them only.even in freedom struggle of India only workers were one who work more for freedom.so we always respect workers.we should not have hesitate or tease them as they are low class families in society we always should help them in their work.so I think Ramu's father insist on wearing khadi.
it is a symbol of India.

Hope this helps you quickly

it's very important for the future generation to know the cultural heritage of our country
the first motive of Ramus father is for his son to know that how our previous generations used to live together with nature
nowadays artificial clothes have taken the place khadi
foreign countries earn on a lot of money from India for the materials required for such kind of clothing

Second motive of Rama father is to let his son know about the great cultural heritage of India
how our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi nurtured this beautiful art of Khadi
