When she finds that her book shelf is full with old copies and books, she just throws them in the dustbin. Once her cousin Abhishek visited her home. On seeing such wastage of papers he said to her that this practice of hers is actually the cause of deforestation and she must stop this immediately

a) deforestation means cutting down of large no. of trees or forest.

b) yes, I think wasting of paper can be the cause of deforestation. if we will waste paper then after some time we will buy a new one then paper industry will cut more trees for production of paper so this can cause more deforestation.

c) consequences of deforestation are-

• increase in global warming

• change in temp.

• soil erosion
