The Mayor  Municipal Corporation  Agra  20th April, 2011  Sir,  Sub : Spread of malarial epidemic in the city.  I Anita Singh a resident of Shyam Nagar Colony regret to draw your attention towards the malarial epidemic spreading in the city. Residents of the slum area of Ambedkar Colony are the worst affected. Hospitals are being flooded with patients suffering from malaria fever. Repeated complaints in the health department have gone unheard as no action has been taken.  Heaps of waste can be seen in every locality, the stink is spreading in the air, overflowing drainage water is one big cause that is helping in the spread of malarial epidemic. Negligence of the sanitary sweepers has worsened the condition.  I know that if all the waste is cleared up, the drainage system is improved and regular door to door waste picking service is introduced then it would be possible for us to get back to the normal conditions.
