Answer:

Option (b) is correct.

By pythagoras theorem,

(Hypotenuse)^2 = (Perpendicular)^2 + (Base)^2

(34)^2 = (30)^2 + (16)^2

1156 = 900 + 256

1156 = 1156

Hence, The sides clearly fits in the theorem. The triangle formed by them is a right triangle.

Hope it helps..!!

Answer:

using H²=P²+B²

WHERE H²=LHS and P²+B²=RHS—(1)

a) LHS

(7)²+(5)²=49+25=74

RHS

(24)²=576

here LHS≠RHS

b) LHS

(30)²+(16)²=900+256=1156

RHS

(34)²=1156

HERE LHS=RHS

c) LHS

(4)²+(3)²=16+9=25

RHS

(7)²=49

HERE LHS≠RHS

d) LHS

(8)²+(12)²=64+144=208

RHS

(14)²=196

here LHS≠RHS

Option B), 34 cm, 30 cm and 16 cm forms a right angle triangle as it satisfies the (1) equation
