Answer:

4 sin A = 5

➡️ sin A = ⁵/4

Then, cos A = √(1 - sin²A)

➡️cos A = √(1 - 25/ 16)

➡️ cos A = -¾

Now, sec A = 1/cos A

➡️ sec A = - 1/(¾)

➡️sec A = -⁴/3

and, tan A = sin A ÷ cos A

➡️ tan A = ⁵/4 ÷ (- ¾)

➡️tan A = -⁵/3

Therfore,

sec A - tan A = -⁴/3 - (- ⁵/3)

➡️sec A - tan A = ⅓

Hope this method might help u a little bit
