Given,

  • 2x + 3y = 9
  • 4x + y = 15

To Find,

  • The Value Of x and y.

Solution,

2x + 3y = 9 •••(Ist Equation)

4x + y = 15 •••(IInd Equation)

Finding The Value y by Ilnd Equation;

4x + y = 15 •••(IInd Equation)

→ 4x + y = 15

→ y = 15 - 4x •••(IIIrd Equation)

Substituting the Value Of y in Ist Equation;

→ 2x + 3y = 9 •••(Ist Equation)

→ 2x + 3(15 - 4x) = 9

→ 2x + 45 - 12x = 9

→ - 10x + 45 = 9

→ - 10x = 9 - 45

→ - 10x = -36

→ x = -36/-10

x = 3.6

Substituting the Value Of x in IIIrd Equation;

y = 15 - 4x •••(IIIrd Equation)

→ y = 15 - 4(3.6)

→ y = 15 - 14.4

y = 0.6

Required Answer,

  • x = 0.36
  • y = 0.6
