Answer

The ball will reach the bottom first in case 1

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

  • So we know that the shortest path between any two points is a straight line

  • So here we know that in both the other cases they are curved

  • The first one is curved inwards and the second is curved outwards

  • But they are longer distances than case one

  • When it is a straight line the slope will also be the same and the distance will be reached without any additions

  • Wheras when it comes to curves the slope varies and the ball would have to cober a much higher distance than the other

  • Thats why we always try to travel in a straight line so that we can reduce the distance as far as possible

  • This straight line that is the shortest distance between two points is called the Displacement of a body

Answer:

The ball dropped from the top of first hill reaches to the bottom first.

The distance travelled by the ball from top to bottom first hill is small, when compared with second and third it reaches to the bottom.
