Answer:  y=\frac{45}{49}  and  x=\frac{15}{14}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{4}{x} +\frac{3}{y} =7

=>  4y+3x=7xy

=>  12y+9x=21xy    { multiply by 3 }  --------> (1.)

\frac{18}{x} -\frac{9}{y} =7

=>  18y-9x=7xy  ---------> (2.)

from (1.) and (2.)

=>  12y+18y+9x-9x=21xy+7xy

=>   30y=28xy

=>  28x=30

=>  x=\frac{15}{14}

put   x=\frac{15}{14} in (1.)

=>  4y+3(\frac{15}{14}) =7y(\frac{15}{14} )

=>   56y+45=105y

=>   49y=45

=>  y=\frac{45}{49}
