Given,

Distance between two stations = 400 kilometres

The total time of the journey = 5 hours

To find,

The speed of the train.

Solution,

We can easily solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical formula.

Speed = Total distance / Total Time

= 400/5 (By putting the given values.)

= 80 km/hr

(The unit of the speed is the division of the unit of distance and unit of time, and that's why kilometres per hour unit of the speed.)

Hence, the speed of the train 80 km/hr.
