Answer:

start with the largest 3 digit number = 999 and devide by (2 x 3 x 5) = 30

999 / 30 = 33.3 or 33 Remainder 9

Subtract the remainder 9 from 999 = 990 this is the largest 3 digit number divisible by 2, 3, and 5.

Ans = 990.

Or the number must be less than 1000 and end with a zero and be divisible by 3.

So we start subtracting 10 s until we get a number whose digit sum is divisible by 3.

1000 - 10 = 990 and 9 + 9 =18 which is divisible by 3 so the number is 990.
