If we calculate the resultant of the horizontally and vertically placed magnetic dipole then we will get √[(M)^2+(M)^2] = √2M, will be the resultant or the net magnetic field.

So, now the net magnetic field for this magnetic field and the other magnetic field √[(√2M)^2+(M)^2] which on solving we will get 2M as the total net magnetic field for the structure.
