Given data :-

The perimeter of a rectangle P =38 meter. And the length is 5 meter less than twice it's width.

Find out :-

The dimensions of the rectangle.

Let, The length of the rectangle L = (2x-5)m

And, The width of the rectangle W = xm

⠀⠀⠀Now Perimeter P = 2(L+W)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀38 = [2{x+(2x-5)}]

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀3x-5=19

⠀⠀3x= 24 , x = (24/3)= 8 meter

Length of the rectangle L = (2x-5)

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = (2×8–5) = 11m

So, Width of Rectangle is 8m.

Length of Rectangle is 11m.
