4.The point A on a mountain is 6450 metres above the sea level. Another point B is in a mine 48600 metres below sea level. Find the distance between the two points.

To find the distance between A and B, we need to find the difference between them.

Point A - Above the surface - +6450 m

Point B - Below the surface - -48600 m

So, difference between A and B is 6450-(-48600) = 6450 + 48600 = 55050 m.
