The percentage increase in population is 16.7 .

*CLEAR EXPLAINATION*;

here there is a rise in number from year 2005 to 2006.hence in terms of profit and loss as we see, there is profit as the number increased. so formula of profit percentage is, profit / cp *100 .

* indicates multiplication. so here profit is three lakh. profit formula is , sp-cp. here cp is 1800000 and so is 2100000 . and simply substitute in profit percentage formula which I told above. that's it we get the answer 16.7
