Step-by-step explanation:

the ratio of adjacent sides of parallelogram = 2:3

the perimeter of parallelogram = 60cm.

suppose the adjacent sides of parallelogram = 2x,3x

perimeter of parallelogram = 2*(sum of adjacent sides)

2*(2x + 3x) =60

2*5x = 60

10x =60

x = 60 / 10

x = 6

there fore the length of the all

sides of

parallelogram

= 2x , 3x , 2x , 3x

= 2*6 , 3*6 , 2*6 , 3*6

= 12cm,18cm,12cm,18cm

Solution

Given :-

  • The ratio of adjacent sides of a parallelogram is as 2:3, and its perimeter is 60 cm.

To Find :-

  • The lengths of the sides of parallelogram.

Step-by-Step-Explaination

Put x in the ratio

Sides are 2x and 3x

Perimeter of parallelogram is 60 cm.

As we know that :-

Perimeter of Parallelogram = 2 ( l + b )

= 2 ( 2x + 3x ) = 60

= 2 × 5x = 60

= 10x = 60

= x = \frac{60}{10}

= x = 6

Now,

2x = 2 × 12 = 24 cm

3x = 3 × 12 = 36 cm

Hence,

The sides of parallelogram are 24 cm and 36 cm .
