Question:-
The ratio of adjacent sides of a parallelogram is as 2:3, and its perimeter is 60 cm.Find the sides of parallelogram.
Answer:-
- The sides of parallelogram are 12 cm and 18 cm.
To find :-
- The sides of parallelogram
Solution:-
- Ratio = 2:3
Put x in the ratio,
- Length (l) = 2x
- Breadth (b) = 3x
- Perimeter = 60 cm
- The value of x is 6 cm
- Length = 2x = 2×6 = 12 cm
- Breadth = 3x = 3×6 = 18 cm

Answer :-
- The sides of the parallelogram are 24cm and 36cm respectively.
Given :-
- The ratio of adjacent sides of a parallelogram is as 2:3 and its perimeter is 60 cm.
To Find :-
- Sides of the parallelogram.
Solution :-
Put x in the ratio
Sides are
- 2x
- 3x
Here
- Perimeter of the parallelogram is 60cm.
As we know that
- Perimeter of a parallelogram is 2 (a + b)
According to question :-
⇒ 2 (2x + 3x) = 60
⇒ 2 × 5x = 60
⇒ 10x = 60
⇒ x = 60/10
⇒ x = 6
Now
- 2x = 2 × 12 = 24cm
- 3x = 3 × 12 = 36cm
Hence, the sides of the parallelogram are 24cm and 36cm respectively.
