Let the width of rectangle = b

and length of rectangle = L

it is given that sides are in the ratio of 2:3

so 2:3 = b : L

so 2/3 = b/L

so 2L = 3b ------(1)

then Perimeter = 2(L+b)

48 = 2L + 2b

from (1) we know that 2L = 3b

so, 48 = 3b + b

so, 48 = 4b

so , b = 48/4

so, b = 12 cm

and 2L = 3b

so, 2L = 3 × 12

so, 2L = 36

so, L = 18cm

so dimension of rectangle are 12cm and 18cm
