Answer:

total length=72

length=20

breadth=x

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

2(20+x)=72

40+x=72

x=72-40

b=32

area of rectangle=lxb

Given :-

  • Total length of all sides of a rectangular park = 2 m.
  • Length = 20 m .

To Find :- Area = ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, the breadth of the rectangular park is x m .

so,

→ perimeter of rectangular park = length of all sides = 2(L + B) = 2(20 + x) = (40 + 2x) m .

A/q,

→ (40 + 2x) = 72

→ 2x = 72 - 40

→ 2x = 32

→ x = 16m .

then,

→ Area of rectangular park = Length * Breath = 20 * 16 = 320 (Ans.)
