Given :

  • Final velocity (v) = 40 m/s
  • Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s (as it is starting from rest)
  • Time (t) = 5 seconds

To find :

  • Acceleration (a)

Accordingto the question,

   \bullet \: { \underline{ \underline{\boxed{\sf \red{v = u + at}}}}} \\  \\   \implies\sf{40 = 0 + a \times 5} \\  \\   \implies\sf{40 - 0 = 5a} \\  \\  \implies \sf{40 = 5a} \\  \\   \implies\sf{  \cancel\dfrac{40}{5}  {}^{ \: 8} = a } \\  \\   \implies{ \underline{\boxed {\sf{ a = 8 {ms}^{- 2} }}}}

So,the acceleration is 8 m/s²...

______________....

  \bigstar \: {\underline{ \overline{ \sf \red{More \: Formula}}}} \\  \\  \bullet \: \sf{ v = u + at} \\  \\  \bullet  \:  \sf{ {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as} \\  \\  \bullet \:  \sf{s = ut +  \dfrac{1}{2} {at}^{2}  }
