The area of base is 92 square centimeter

Solution:

Given that,

Volume of cuboid = 598 centimetre cube

Height = 6.5 cm

To find: the area of base

The volume of cuboid is given as:

Volume\ of\ cuboid = length \times breadth \times height

From given,

598 = length \times breadth \times 6.5\\\\length \times breadth = \frac{598}{6.5}\\\\length \times breadth = 92

We know that,

Area\ of\ base = length \times breadth

Thus area of base is 92 square centimeter

Volume of cuboid is product of length, breadth and height.

Also, the area of the base is the product of length and breadth.

So,   V=l*b*h

On substituting the values given,

598=l*b*6.5

Hence,

l*b=598/6.5

   =92cm²

Hence, the area of the base is 92 cm².
