SOLUTION :-

Total number of students in a school = 700

Number of girls out of 700 students = 420

So,

The number of boys in the school

= Total number of students - number of girls    

[ as number of boys + number of girls = total number of students in the school, and we will get number of boys by subtracting number of girls from total number of students ]

$\therefore$ The number of boys in the school = 280

Now,

To  be found :-

The percentage of boys

= $\frac{280}{700} \times 100$

= 40 %

Hence,

The percentage of boys in the school is 40%
