Answer:

a) 5/6

b) 1/6

c) 1

Explanation:

a)  = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

∴ n(S) = 6

Let E be the event that the card drawn shows a natural number.

∴ E = {1,2,3,4,5}

∴ n(E) = 5

∴ P(E) = n(E) / n(S)

∴ P(E) = 5/6

b) Let E be the event that the card drawn shows a number less than 1.

∴ E = {0}

∴ n(E) = 1

∴ P(E) = P(E) / n(S)

∴ P(E) = 1/6

c)Let E be the event that the card drawn shows a whole number.

∴ E = {0,1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

∴ n(E) = 6

∴ P(E) = n(E) / n(S) = 6/6

∴ P(E) = 1
