4. There is a trapezium whose parallel sides are 10 cm and 22.3 cm. The distance between the parallel sides
is 37 cm. Then, we have a rhombus with diagonals 41.8 cm and 0.03 m. Find which figure has greater area
and by how much?????

Answer: Trapezium has a greater area by 534.85 cm square

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Area of trapezium

= height/2 * (sum of parallel sides)

= 37/2 * (10+22.3)cm

= 18.5 * 32.3

= 597.55 cm square

2. Area of rhombus

= \frac{d_{1} + d_{2}}{2} = \frac{41.8cm + 3cm}{2} = 62.7cm

Hence, 597.55 > 62.7 cm square

Therefore,

Trapezium has a greater area by 534.85 cm square (597.55 - 62.7)
