Volume of each cube = 64 cm³

side³ = 64

side³ = 4³

Hence, side = 4 cm

Now if two cubes are joined together it will form a cuboid.

Length of the resisting cuboid,

l = 2 × side cm

l = 2 × 4

l = 8 cm

Breadth, b = 4cm

Height, h = 4cm

Hence surface Area

SA = 2 ( lb + bh + hl )

SA = 2 ( 8×4 + 4×4 + 4×8 )

SA = 2 ( 32 + 16 + 32 )

SA = 2 ( 64 + 16 )

SA = 2 × 80

SA = 160 cm²
