4. Two sides of a triangle are 6 cm and 8 cm. If the
height of the triangle corresponding to 8 cm is
3 cm, find (i) area of triangle (ii) height of
triangle corresponding to 6 cm side.​

(i) 12cm^2. (ii) 4cm

area of triangle is 1/2*base * height

base = 8 cm and height is 3 cm.

area = 1/2 * 8*3

that is 12cm^2

(ii). To get height corresponding to 6 cm side

2Area /base = height (as the area will be same 1/2 * base * height so height = 2 * area/base)

So 2*12/6 is height

that is 24/6= 4cm
