Hi,
=======:
Here is your answer,
=======:
The excess acid secreted by our stomach causes acidity. To have a relief from acidity , we generally take ant-acid tablet or gel.
The ant-acid tablets or gel contains aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide. Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide are weakly basic in nature. Therefore antacids neutralise the excess acid present in the stomach and provide some relief.
