Not taking her seriously, Tilly's parents could have tried to calm her down thinking that she had been frightened by something. As a result, they could have been washed away by the tsunami waves. If I were in their place, I too would have listened to her and realised that there was a danger approaching.

✍️ 1. Tilly foresaw the danger of tsunami at once. She became hysterical. Her parents didn’t ignore her. They were sure that something wrong must be going to happen. So, they all left the beach and were saved. If I were in place of Tilly parents, I might not have believed her. I might have scolded her for behaving in a weird manner.

✍️ 2. It is obvious. Tilly’s award should be shared with her geography teacher. Her parents could not guess the tsunami was coming. It was her Geography teacher who had made her aware of this calamity. Hence, she could sense it and take the required step to save themselves.
