Streeshakthi Scheme was launched during the year 2000.So, far. 3872 Rural Streeshakthi groups have been formed in the District. The aim of the Scheme is to empower Women economically and social by organizing them in self-help groups.

The aim of the Scheme is to empower Women economically and social by organizing them in self-help groups. Streeshakthi groups have been provided 6% interest subsidy for the bank loan availed by them. Up to rs.25000/- to Rs.100000/- incentives are given for the excess. And additional revolving fund has been given to the groups.So far,upto end the march-2018 60443 Women members have been organized in the streeshakthi groups and these groups have saved Rs.2818.31 crores since inception.
