The use of Isopleth maps has given the researcher a visual media in which to present his quantitative data in a statistically accurate method. The construction of an Isopleth map involves the follwing techniques: (1) selection of a suitable base map, (2) plotting of the raw data on the base map, (3) selection of a suitable control area, (4) arrangement of the triangular grid over the base map and the plotting of the control points, (5) using the control area, the raw data is averaged at each control point thus establishing the isopleth values, (6) these isopleth values are placed on a similar base map and linear interpolation is used to draw in the isopleth lines desired. This technique can be applicable to numerous educational topics which need statistically accurate delineation.
