  • By the line "but is anybody listening?” the writer simply expressed

a feeling of concern that if anyone was actually hearing him ( listening him ) he was questioning himself / someone that were others listening him speak?

  • We can clearly note that in the line the question (?) mark is used. Which proves my theory of the writer being concerned.
