HTML stands for hypertext markup language.....it is specially used for making web pages...HTML elements with no contains are called empty element. <br> is an empty element without closing tags. Empty elements can be "closed " in opening tags like <br/>….

For example- BR tag , HR tag

there are two types of tags - ● Container tag ● Empty tag.

opening tags are those tag which has opening only . eg - HR and BR tags

closing tags are those tag which have both closing and opening .eg- Title tag
