Judicial Review

The review done by the judiciary on whether a law implemented by the legislature or actions done by the executive is violating the fundamental rights as per the Constitution on receiving a review petition is known as judicial review.

A citizen can move to the court by submitting a review petition if he or she thinks that the basic fundamental rights are being violated by a specific law or action. The judiciary will discuss and review the law and will give out the verdict.

✔ Judicial review can be considered under Constitutional remedies.

Upholding and Enforcing the law and Fundamental Rights

Judiciary is the third tier of the government. It is an independent organ that must make sure that all the laws are enforced and the Fundamental Rights are upheld. If a citizen comes up with a case that his or her rights are being violated, the judiciary must check and take actions in an unbiased form. This is the reason why Judiciary helps in the upholding of the law and the enforcing of the Fundamental rights.
