Aspiring candidates who wish to join Bachelor degree in sports coaching should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination securing a minimum of 50% marks (for some reputed institutions) in the aggregate preferably with physical education as one of the main subjects at +2 level.
Option A. NIS diploma is the minimum qualification to become a coach in India.
The eligibility criteria that are needed to become a coach in India, are-
(i) Firstly, graduate in any subject from any Foreign University or Indian University that is recognizable.
(ii) Secondly, do a Diploma course in Sports Coaching from S.A.I., or N.S.N.I.S., or Patiala or its other various academic centers with at least a minimum of 60% marks.
(iii) Thirdly, the aptitude for the research task or work.
(iv) Lastly, should have proficiency in Sports.
