4. When 5g of liquid water was formed by burning hydrogen gas. -65kJ of heat was given off. Calculate the standard heat of formation of water.

Explanation:

Moles of water formed  = (mass/ Molecular Mass)

                                      = 5/18 moles

5/18 moles of water released -65kJ of energy

SO, 1 mol of water released = 65*(18/5) = 234kJ/mol
