4. When a student weighing 45 kgs left a class, the average weight of the remaining 59 students increased by 200g. What is the average weight of the remaining 59 students?

Then avg wt=x

Total wt of 59 students after leaving the 45 kgs student

=60x-45

So the avg wt =(60x-45)/59

Given that

(60x-45)/59=x+ 200 g= x+0.2 Kg

60x-45=59(x+0.2)

60x-45=59x+11.8

x=45+11.8=56.8 kg

so wt of 60 students=60*56.8=3408

wt of 59 students=3408-45=3363

Hence average wt of 59 students

=3363/59

=57 kg
