Answer:

a) x^3 - y^3

= 3^ - 5^3

So a^3 - b^3 = (a-b) (a^2 + ab + b^2)

After substituting we get :

                               = (3-5) (9 + 3 x 5 + 25)

                               = (-2) ( 9 + 15 + 25)

                               = (-2) ( 49 )

                               = - 98

b) 3x^2y + 2xy - xy^2

= 3(9)^2(5) + 2x3x5 - 3x(5)^2

= 3 x 81 x 5 + 30 - 3 x 25

= 243 x 5 + 30 - 75

= 1215 + 30 - 75

= 1245 - 75

= 1170
