Explanation:

Piece of bread is generally composed of starch molecules. After chewing it for long time, the enzymes in themouth start attack the starch molecules which is further converted into glucose. It is the glucose which provides sweet taste. Thus, due to the action of enzymes the starch chains are converted into glucose.
