preamble : The preamble highlights the fundamental values and guiding principles of our constitution. ... The preamble to our constitution serves two purposes: It indicates the source from which the constitution gets its authority. It also states the objects which the constitution seeks to establish and promote.

1.It is very important to promote fraternity in India because India is a nation of diverse communities and thus fraternity (brotherhood) leads to the unity and integrity of the nation. The unity further leads to the prosperity and development. Fraternity is very important for the security of the country.

The Constitution strives to provide social, economic and political equality in the country. Fraternity means the feeling of brotherhood. The Preamble seeks to promote fraternity among the people assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation

Before the framing of the constitution started, anObjectives Resolution(the resolution that defined the aims of the Assembly) was moved by Nehru in 1946. This resolution enshrined the aspirations and values behind the Constitution making. On the basis of the Objectives Resolution, India’s Constitution gave institutional expression to the fundamental commitments:equality, liberty, democracy, sovereignty and a cosmopolitan identity. This made the moral commitment to establish a government that will fulfil the many promises that the nationalist movement held before the people of India.

The summary of the Objective Resolution is as follows:

India is an independent, sovereign, republicIndia shall be a Union of erstwhile British Indian territories, Indian States, and other parts outside British India and Indian States as are willing to be a part of the Union

Territories forming the Union shall be autonomous units and exercise all powers and functions of the Government and administration, except those assigned to or vested in the UnionAll powers and authority of sovereign and independent India and its constitution shallflow from the people

All people of India shall be guaranteed and secured social, economic and political justice; equality of status and opportunitiesand equality before law; and fundamental freedoms – of speech, expression, belief, faith, worship, vocation, association and action – subject to law and public moralityThe minorities, backward and tribal areas, depressed and other backward classes shall be provided adequate safeguardsThe territorial integrity of the Republic and its sovereign rights on land, sea and air shall be maintained according to justice and law of civilized nationsThe land would make full and willing contribution to the promotion of world peace and welfare of mankindLate in the evening of 14 August, 1947 the Assembly met in the Constitution Hall and at the stroke of midnight, took over as the Legislative Assembly of an Independent India.

3.The constitution safeguards the social, political and economic justice of its citizens through the Preamble in the constitution and the various Articles and Sections associated with each of the above.

These safeguards are an implementation of the directive principle aiming to provide equality and social justice to the weaker section of the society.

1.With the time immemorial, the democratic ideals were ingrained deeply in the social as well as legal systems.

Touchstone in the democratic system mainly lies across the voice on common man that do not made to the unheard on the excellence and it is also endowed that ensures discontent on power are conveyed with portals.

2. A socialist state, socialist republic, or socialist country (sometimes workers' state or workers' republic) is a sovereign state constitutionally dedicated to the establishment of socialism.

The reason India followed socialist system has more to do with our Leadership. Pandit Nehru was a socialist and he thought for a newly Independent country with a lot of poor people, socialist system would work best (which was not a bad idea at that time, since USSR was showing good progress ). This was followed by later PM's.
