Despite fertilizers are nutrients specific ,they also pose environmental hazards. Organic manure provides humus to the soil and restore the soil texture and help in water retention whereas chemical fertilizers may damage the soil texture and make it more porous.Also the excessive use of organic manure doesn't cause pollution as it is from organic matter, on the other hand excessive use of fertilizers give rise to the pollution of water by eutrophication. That's the reason it is advisable to use organic manure instead of chemical fertilizers.

It is advised to neutralize industrial wastes before releasing them into water bodies because industrial wastes are mostly acidic in nature, they can harm the aquatic life if they released into the water.
