And
One man alone can finish the work in 'y' days
Part of the work done by the women in one day =1/x
Part of the work done by the man in one day =1/y
Given 4 women and 6 men can finish the work in 10 days
4/x+6/y=1/10-----(1)
Multiply (1)
With 2
8/x+12/y =2/10
8/x+12/y=1/5
Therefore
8 women and 12 men finish the work in 5 days
And
One man alone can finish the work in 'y' days
