(a) Mavis Dunn Lyngdoh - Mavis Dunn Lyngdoh was the first woman in India to become a cabinet minister. She was born on 4 June 1906. She studied at the Welsh Mission Girls’ School, Shillong, the Diocesan College and the Bethune College, Kolkata, where she obtained her BT degree.

(b) All Party Hill Leaders - The All Party Hill Leaders Conference (APHLC) was a political party of the Indian state of Meghalaya. The president of the party was Mr Williamson A. Sangma. All Party Hill Leaders’ Conference was constituted as a political party in the composite State of Assam in 1960.

(c) The Father of Modern Khasis - Babu Jeebon Roy is known as the "Father of Modern Khasis" for his contribution to Khasi language, linguistics, entrepreneurship and education. He was a government officer in East India Company.
