Here, as hungry as the bear is a simile.

• Can u say what shines in the sky ?

✏ So moon shines in the sky

Diamond also shines but not in the sky.

So, we can say that,

The moon shines like a diamond.

Similes makes the sentences more interesting to say or hear.

___________________________

Similes are incomplete without adjectives.

For example...

Neha ate the fruits as faster as lightning.

In this sentence, as quick as lightning is a simile.

Here, the adjective quick completes the simile.

Without the adjective simile will have no meaning.
