4^x-1 = 24 find the value of x

4x^2-1=24

=>4x^2=24+1

=>4x^2=25

=>(2x)^2=+/-(5)^2

=>2x=+/-5 (Cancelling the power of 2 on both the sided)

=>x=5/2=2.5 or x=-5/2=-2.5
