Given here

4^(x-3) - 2^(x+1)=0

=> 4^(x-3)= 2^(x+1)

=> 2^2(x-3)= 2^(x+1)

=> 2(x-3)= (x+1)

=> 2x-x = 1+6

=>x = 7
